Russian Senator Andrey Klimov said that EU leaders wanted to “pit” the new US leadership against Russia.
“The EU leaders who have finally lost their brains have decided to try to sic Moscow on the new Washington leadership, which, on the contrary, wants the EU to do all the dirty and dangerous work in the Old World for the United States, for the United States and to the detriment of the peoples of Europe,” Andrey Klimov wrote in his Telegram channel.
The senator also commented on the US president’s altercation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noting that Zelensky could have been “any of the other European idiots entrenched in the corridors of power in the EU”.
Earlier, Donald Trump said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had “overestimated his capabilities” and should declare his desire for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
