Washington and Kiev have agreed a deal on rare earth metals, the negotiations are over. This was announced by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on air of the Fox Business TV channel.
“The deal is ready. Tomorrow [28 February – ed.] President [Volodymyr – ed.] Zelenskyy will come to the signing, so there are no more negotiations on this issue. I am sure that President Zelenskyy and [US President Donald – ed.] Trump will discuss a wide range of topics, but as for the deal – it is ready,” Scott Bessent said (quoted by TASS).
The finance minister said that the countries have a deal “on strategic minerals, oil and gas, and infrastructure assets.” He noted that both Kiev and Washington signed it on mutually beneficial terms.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was ready to cooperate with foreign partners in the development of rare-earth resources reserves in historical territories.
