Musk’s department cuts $65 billion in US government spending

The US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is headed by US businessman Elon Musk, has cut US government spending by $65bn.

A report published on the DOGE website said.

‘The total estimated savings of DOGE is $65 billion,’ – stated in the report.

It is noted that this amount was achieved through the elimination of fraud, contract renegotiations, staff reductions, as well as cost-cutting measures.

In addition, the Department will continue to publish all cases of optimisation of public expenditure ‘in a transparent format’.

Earlier it was reported that the U.S. administration is considering the possibility of using to repay the state debt part of the funds saved as a result of DOGE.
