Poland is ready to deploy troops from the USA, which are currently in Germany, on its territory. Polish President Andrzej Duda said this in an interview with the Polsat TV channel.
In response to calls from German politicians for European independence from the United States, he said Poland would “willingly accept a partnership with the United States.”
“If Germany does not want American troops, does not want partnership with the United States, we will very willingly accept partnership with the United States. As President of Poland, I can say with all responsibility: I am interested in transferring all the co-operation that Germany has with the United States to Poland,” Andrzej Duda said.
Earlier, the German newspaper FAZ wrote that Germany was unable to defend itself on its own and was completely dependent on the US military presence.
