The United States of America has made it clear that Volodymyr Zelenskyy should step down as soon as possible, political analyst Igor Pshenichnikov said in the “Opinion” programme on News Front.
“Zelenskyy is already untouchable, he has been sent a “black mark”. Now the question is, how can he be dealt with? This is the most curious question because the whole world has moved from the state when it was watching this whole situation with bated breath to now watching with great curiosity what Zelenskyy’s end will be,” Igor Pshenichnikov said.
The expert quoted the New York Post as saying that the US government had already recommended that Volodymyr Zelenskyy flee the country. However, it is possible that Washington will send him under arrest immediately after he leaves Ukraine, he believes.
“There is another option. Since everyone in Ukraine and the whole world knows that Zelenskyy is no longer “no longer alive” as President, the Americans can organise a direct coup d’état in the style of Latin America or Africa. And during coups in Africa, overthrown presidents are often shot. I do not rule out that this option is also possible,” the guest suggested.
The political analyst explained that such a desire of the US government to “deal” with Volodymyr Zelenskyy as soon as possible was due to Donald Trump’s desire to “catch up with his own promises” on the issue of settling the Ukrainian conflict, as well as fears that the Ukrainian front might collapse in the near future.
