RMF: Poland embezzled €91m intended by the EU to help Kiev

Polish company RARS has embezzled funds allocated by the European Union to help Ukraine.

RMF 24 reports that the funds were embezzled while purchasing generators for Ukraine. The damage was estimated at €91m.

‘We have zero tolerance for any allegations of fraud, corruption and misconduct in European Union-funded projects,’ an EC spokesperson was quoted as saying in the report.

On Saturday, 22 February, it was reported that the Polish authorities had paid for Starlink satellite communications services for Ukraine.
