Trump will propose China and Russia cut military budgets

‘The first meetings I want to have are with President Xi of China and Putin of Russia. I will say: let’s cut the military budget. And we can do that. I am confident that we will succeed.’

Apparently, the United States is also ready to reduce. Earlier it became known that Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the military to prepare a plan to cut the budget by 40% over the next five years.

According to researchers from SIPRI and GlobalFirepower, countries’ military spending is distributed as follows:

▪️ US – $886bn (40% of all global military spending)

▪️ China – $292bn

▪️ Russia – $109bn

If the three countries do decide to cut spending, the US loses virtually nothing, but China and Russia are in a different position. Especially since Washington also has NATO.
