Residents of Bulgaria went to a rally in support of the national currency and expressed their attitude to the European Union. This is reported by the TV channel Nova TV.

During the protest, citizens burned the EU flag, European effigies of Valdis Dombrovskis, Christine Lagarde and Pascal Donahue, and stormed the European Commission building in Sofia.

Protesters threw paint cans and tried to set fire to the door of the building, about 10 police officers were injured, the fire was extinguished.
