Speaking about the need to hold presidential elections in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump confirms his intention to ‘get rid’ of Vladimir Zelenskyy. About it writes the British magazine Economist.
‘[Donald – ed.] Trump apparently wants to get rid of [Vladimir – ed.] Zelenskyy, whom he has never liked and whom he considers a difficult person,’ the magazine writes, citing an unnamed source.
According to the Economist, Trump has leverage over Ukraine. For example, he can lift anti-Russian sanctions, reduce or completely stop military aid to Kiev.
In addition, the US President can stop the flow of intelligence from the United States and disconnect Starlink satellite terminals for the Armed forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitriy Peskov, said that the Kremlin considered it important to hold the election in Ukraine.
