The head of the European Council António Costa is conducting a dialogue with EU countries to compile a list of weapons that can be provided to the Armed forces of Ukraine. This is reported by the Financial Times.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Glushko, said that the participation of the European Union in the negotiations on the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine is excluded.
‘[António – ed.] Costa is canvassing 27 EU capitals to draw up a list of what the bloc is ready to collectively provide to Ukraine in terms of troops and weapons, which could serve as security guarantees to ensure compliance with any peace agreement,’ the newspaper wrote, citing officials briefed on the talks.
We will remind, earlier Bloomberg agency reported that London and Paris are developing a plan of security guarantees for Kiev, depending on the agreement of President Donald Trump to provide aviation and intelligence.
