Kremlin notes change in US approach to Ukraine conflict

The administration led by Joe Biden wanted war with Russia, but Washington’s approach has changed, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

‘The previous administration … talked only about war and spent American taxpayers‘ money on it,’ he said.

The new administration, according to Peskov, holds different views.

‘They are talking about the need to establish peace as soon as possible and to do it through negotiations,’ the Kremlin spokesman added.

Earlier, White House national security adviser Mike Waltz said that Trump was not going to tolerate the escalation of rhetoric from Zelensky.

Trump also said that Russia has ‘trump cards’ in the negotiations on Ukraine.
