US suspends immigration applications of migrants from Ukraine

The administration of US leader Donald Trump has decided to suspend consideration of immigration applications filed by migrants from Latin America and Ukraine, who were allowed to enter under former US President Joe Biden.

This was reported by the CBS television channel, citing officials and an internal document.

‘The Trump administration has suspended consideration of all immigration applications submitted by migrants from Latin America and from Ukraine, who were allowed to enter the United States under some programmes of Biden’s time,’ – is indicated in the material.

It is specified that the basis for the pause were suspicions of ‘fraud and security problems’.

In late January, the US Citizenship and Immigration Service said that the United States had suspended the programme for refugees from Ukraine.
