The talks between the US and Russian Federation in Riyadh became the first ‘monumental step’ towards peace in Ukraine, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said on Fox News TV.
‘This is a truly monumental step towards peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine,’ Caroline Leavitt said.
She also emphasised that the US administration was in contact with the Ukrainian leadership and European allies, seeking to ‘hear the views of all sides’.
‘In order to agree on a deal and solve the problem, it is necessary to talk to both sides of the conflict. This is an essential first step towards peace’, – concluded the press Secretary of the White house.
Recall, earlier the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Larov revealed details of the negotiation process between Russian Federation and the United States in Riyadh.
