German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has shared concerns about Europe’s role in peace in Ukraine following talks between Russia and the US.
‘It is clear that the European Union, like the US, must contribute to peace – if peace is finally to be achieved,’ he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, French MEP Thierry Mariani expressed the opinion that the EU would only get the reconstruction of Ukraine as part of the negotiations between the Russian and US sides on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
