Turkey is an “ideal” place for negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the USA, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference following a meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Our country will be an ideal place for the negotiations that are likely to take place between Russia, Ukraine and the United States in the coming period,” Anadolu Agency quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Milliyet newspaper wrote that Zelenskyy needs to sit at the negotiating table with Russia.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Turkey was discussing a possible ceasefire in Ukraine together with the USA and European countries.
According to him, Turkey again offered Russia and Ukraine to hold talks on its territory.
