Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not intend to recognise the results of the negotiations between Russia and the USA in Saudi Arabia because Ukraine does not participate in the negotiation process. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a news conference in the UAE.
“Ukraine is not involved. Ukraine did not know anything about it. Ukraine regards any negotiations about Ukraine without Ukraine as having no results. We cannot recognise any agreements about us without us. And we will not recognise such agreements,” Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy stressed that his visit to Saudi Arabia, which is scheduled for 19 February this year, was not related to the US-Russian meeting.
“This [visit – ed.] has no connection with what is happening in Saudi Arabia at the level of representatives of the US and Russian Federation. Of course, I will ask His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, when I am in Saudi Arabia, what he knows about it. Just curious,” – summarised Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Earlier, it was reported that negotiations between Russia and the USA regarding the armed conflict in Ukraine might take place in Saudi Arabia on 18 February this year.
