The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, has said that there is no question of territorial concessions in favour of Ukraine during the negotiations. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency.
“You want these Nazi tendencies – and the Ukrainian armed forces act even worse than Hitler’s murderers, look at the atrocities they commit – and you want there to be even a thought in the settlement talks that some territories can still be ceded? How? With or without Russian people? With only rare earth metals?” – Sergey Lavrov said.
According to the foreign minister, territorial concessions to the country, which is currently called Ukraine, were made by the Soviet state during the formation of the USSR.
Lavrov stressed that the territories that had been “mastered by Russian people for centuries” were included in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
