Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has rejected the idea of creating a united army for Europe proposed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Munich Security Conference.
Reuters reported that.
‘If you understand by this the unification of national armies, it will not happen,’ he said.
The Polish foreign minister expressed support for the idea of developing Europe’s own defence capabilities within the EU.
Sikorski also noted that the presence of Polish troops on the territory of Ukraine is not considered, as Poland’s main task in NATO is the defence of its eastern flank.
Earlier, Zelenskyy called for the creation of an ‘Armed Forces of Europe’ during the Munich Security Conference.
