Vance refused to meet with Scholz

United States Vice President J.D. Vance refused to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Munich Security Conference. This is reported by Politico, citing an unnamed German official.

‘We don’t need to see him, he [Olaf Scholz – ed.] won’t be chancellor for long,’ JD Vance said.

An unnamed German official confirmed that there would be no meeting between the politicians, but recalled that Vance and Scholz crossed paths during the AI summit in Paris on 10 February this year.

‘However, given how significantly geopolitical events have changed since then, in particular, US President Donald Trump has completely removed Europe from discussing the peace plan for Ukraine and its terms with his Russian counterpart [Russian leader – ed.] Vladimir Putin, as well as the fact that Scholz is the leader of the host country, the absence of a meeting with Vance is striking,’ wrote Politico.

Recall, earlier Olaf Scholz during the election event in Berlin criticised the decrees of US President Donald Trump and statements of the head of the Department of state efficiency Elon Musk.
