US President Donald Trump said that he plans to return Russia to the international club ‘Big Eight’ (G8). This is reported by the Fox News television channel.
Russia had been a member of the G8 since 1997, but in March 2014, following the reunification of the Republic of Crimea and Russian Federation, Western countries stopped working in the G8 format and resumed G7 activities.
‘It’s not about whether you like Russia or not. It was the G8. I think [Russian President Vladimir – ed.] Putin would love to come back,’ said Donald Trump.
