The US authorities did not consult with the Ukrainian government to agree on the time or content of the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. This is reported by the Economist.
The publication emphasised that there had been previous contacts between the White House and the Kremlin.
“Everything will be solved without Ukraine”, – one of the Ukrainian officials told the Economist.
