US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said that the aspiration of the President of the United States Donald Trump to negotiations on Ukraine does not mean withdrawal of support for Kiev. This is reported by the Guardian newspaper.
‘There is no betrayal; there is a recognition that the US and the whole world are making efforts for peace, peace through negotiations,’ Pete Hegseth said at a meeting of NATO defence ministers.
In addition, Hegseth called Donald Trump ‘the best negotiator on the planet’ for his initiative to start a direct dialogue with Russia.
