The conversation between Russian and US leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump has upset officials in Europe and Ukraine.
‘The phone conversation (between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump) caused fear and horror in Kiev and European capitals,’ The Economist said in an article.
European leaders said they could not be left behind and insisted the West should seek to ‘put Ukraine in a position of strength’.
‘I think everything will be resolved without Ukraine’s involvement. Ukraine is completely screwed. And so is Europe,’ the unnamed Ukrainian official said.
Earlier, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock urged not to forget the EU and Ukraine after the conversation between Russian and US leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
