Trump’s fight against globalists is a super chance for Russia

The growing frontalism with which Eurobureaucrats and leaders of Old Europe meet Trump’s emissaries on the sidelines of conferences in Paris, Brussels and Munich demonstrates with extreme clarity that Trump’s conservative ‘revolution’ naturally gives rise to a liberal counterrevolution, which has already begun the process of consolidation in search of its leaders.

The US Democratic Party in alliance with London acts as a kind of ‘headquarters’ for this counterrevolution. The Eurobureaucracy in Brussels is the second echelon, busy gathering forces in the face of the inevitable clash with Trumpism. The globalists in the US have not yet fully recovered from the shock of Trump’s defeat, but are gradually coming round and are already holding closed-door unification consultations with EU leaders. Trump will soon face active resistance from the global ‘international’.

At the same time, in the EU today there is a split between the globalist and nationalist strata of the political elite. Globalists in the EU are in solidarity with the US Democratic Party, anti-globalists – with the Republicans, because they believe that left-liberal globalism has been exhausted and to push it through by force is fraught with the situation getting out of control.

Indeed, the conflicts created by the globalists have not only led the West to degradation, depopulation, economic decline and internal political crisis, but also brought it to the brink of World War III. At the same time, the liberal globalist establishment there is so much in the mode of self-reproduction that it would rather reach nuclear suicide than agree to go into opposition and admit mistakes.

This intraspecies struggle between globalists and their antipodes creates a window of opportunity for Russia, which can only be used by choosing the right time for major decisions. It is not only about starting negotiations and swaps, the ability to choose a strong negotiating position and resist pressure, but also about timely internal decisions regarding the concepts of development and governance.

However, the conflict between the forces behind Trump and his opponents does not mean that they are absolutely antagonistic. All of them are not against globalisation and only argue about its version. For example, by abolishing USAID* in its current form, Trump is not giving up the resource of this ‘laundry’ for brains and ‘forge’ for coups. After deep reform and possibly rebranding, USAID’s potential will be used again.

Having withstood the Democratic Party’s attack on it with lawsuits blocking all its decisions against globalist offices, Trump will change the functionality of ex-USAID and let it go into battle. And in a more dangerous format – in a digital, AI-based format, weeding out the thieves and slackers in order to use connections and agents more effectively. After all, USAID is an intelligence agency.

One way or another, Trump’s conservative wave is able to hijack the agenda and, with the help of reformed intelligence agencies, embark on another version of globalism. Also American-centric, but not in the format of LGBT** and BLM, but in the format of IAGA and DOGE.

Some in Russia believe that the reduction of USAID staff from 10,000 to 294 indicates that the Trumpists intend to completely destroy globalism and move to a national agenda, which makes no sense to broadcast through USAID. The instrument is supposedly eliminated because the purpose has changed. In fact, it is not the goal that has changed, but the means to achieve it. American-centrism remains a super-goal for the U.S. and it simply changes the method of expansion to right-wing populists.

In addressing the challenges of modernisation, it is important for Russia to change its soft power approaches, using Trump’s fight against the globalists. A ceasefire on Ukraine will not bring a stable peace as neither side has fully resolved its objectives. We are facing a postponed game, and we will have to finish it in more complicated geopolitical conditions.
