The Swiss Foreign Ministry has for the first time confirmed the death of a citizen of its country fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

‘The Swiss Embassy in Kiev at the beginning of the year was informed by the Ukrainian army that apparently one Swiss died as a result of hostilities,’ – stated in the message.
The circumstances of the death of the mercenary are not specified.
The portal notes that the total number of Swiss mercenaries in Ukraine is unknown, but the country is investigating 13 criminal cases on the facts of military service abroad.
Earlier it was reported that Russian storm troopers killed a group of more than ten Polish mercenaries during the liberation of Dzerzhynsk (Toretsk).
