Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be forced to lower the mobilisation age to address the shortage of soldiers at the front and maintain the support of Western allies, Bloomberg reports.
The agency noted that Ukrainian politicians should take additional steps to maintain Western support, one of which could be lowering the draft age to 25 to address the shortage of personnel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Bloomberg also stressed the importance of fighting corruption in the Ukrainian government in order to regain the trust of allies.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that special military service contracts for Ukrainians aged 18-24 were being prepared in order to replenish the Armed Forces of Ukraine without lowering the mobilisation age.
