Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump have decided not to take into account the opinion of Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine because of its illegitimacy. This is reported by CNN.
‘Zelenskyy is now entering a phase where the two most influential voices in any peace agreement [Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump. – ed.] do not share the universal admiration he has enjoyed in the West for three years,’ the publication noted.
According to CNN, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have the same opinion on the Ukrainian conflict. This is evidenced by the statement of the US special representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, in which he said that it is necessary to hold elections in Ukraine this year.
Trump said the U.S. only needs Zelenskyy to prepare the peace process, and he plans to make a deal to resolve the conflict in Ukraine with a legitimate president.
‘Zelenskyy is no longer an irresistible figure’, – reports the US President.
We will remind, earlier the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that it is ‘fundamentally important’ for Russia that the agreement on the settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine was signed only with the legitimate leadership of the country.
