Canada will seek to draw attention to the negative effects of US tariffs on steel and aluminium and will respond firmly and clearly if necessary, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.
‘Canadians will stand strong and firm in defence of their interests if necessary,’ Reuters quoted the prime minister as saying.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump imposed duties of 25% on steel and aluminium supplies.
After the corresponding sanctions from Trump, the EU promised to take tough measures.
