US President Donald Trump for the first 100 days of his administration broke the record for the number of adopted decrees and cancellation of orders of the past administration of the United States. This is reported by the ABC television channel.
“Since his inauguration on 20 January, [Donald – ed.] Trump has signed a record number of executive orders that have already begun to reshape American priorities at home and abroad <…> This number of executive orders is unprecedented in the modern era of politics and is part of a broader set of sweeping actions aimed at rapidly dismantling existing institutions,” the TV station said.
During his 2.5 weeks in office, Trump signed 54 executive orders, while his predecessor, former US leader Joe Biden, signed 42.
We will remind, earlier the TV channel Fox News reported that in the first hours as head of the White House Donald Trump signed a number of new decrees.
