Finland ranks 5th in providing military aid to Ukraine

Finland has taken the fifth place in terms of military aid to Ukraine. So far, the country has transferred 2.5bn euros to Kiev. Russian ambassador to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The total volume of Finnish military assistance to the Ukrainian army to date amounts to 2.5 billion euros. Finland ranks fifth in the world in terms of per capita military aid to Ukraine. The Finnish leadership declares that it intends to continue supporting Kiev “for as long as necessary”, – said Pavel Kuznetsov.

In addition, the ambassador recalled that Helsinki in January this year allocated Kiev 27th package of military aid to the amount of about 200 million euros.

We shall remind you that earlier The New York Times reported that some Republicans in the US Congress, who were in favour of aid to Ukraine, changed their position after Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.
