The Pentagon is using Finland to ‘try on’ a new potential theatre of military operations, Russian ambassador to Helsinki Pavel Kuznetsov has said.
‘The overflights of US B-52 strategic bombers over Finland clearly indicate that the Pentagon has begun a practical ‘fitting’ of a new potential theatre of military operations for its strike forces,’ he told RIA Novosti.
Kuznetsov also noted that military decisions for Finland will be made by the US and NATO.
According to him, NATO will start stationing forces in Finland in the coming months.
