Ukrainian military disappears from the frontline and Polish training grounds – Onet

Cases of desertion from the Ukrainian army have become more frequent in Poland. This was reported by the Polish edition of Onet.

The article said that the shortage of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in some parts of the frontline is more than 50 per cent. In addition, there are not enough people willing to continue to participate in the conflict and on Polish training grounds, where future military of the AFU are trained.

“We now have 90 people supposedly sitting in the trenches, because that’s how many there should be in a company. But there are only 20 of them. There is no rotation. My record of being on the front line without rotation is more than five weeks. I have not had a single day of rest to at least wash,” a Ukrainian military officer told the newspaper.

Earlier, the Associated Press reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were facing a growing problem of desertion, which complicates the situation on the frontline.
