European countries allow concessions from Ukraine

Most of the countries of Central-Eastern Europe (CEE) accept territorial concessions from Ukraine. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing a report by the IMEMO RAN.

“With the traditional unified position of preserving and strengthening their place in the EU in 2025 on a number of important issues, the fragmentation of CEE countries, including between the members of the most organised Visegrad Group – Hungary and Slovakia, on the one hand, and Poland and the Czech Republic – on the other, is likely to persist, and may even intensify,” the report says.

In addition, the report notes that having officially joined the anti-Russian restrictions of the collective West, many countries “actually partially circumvent them, first of all, by purchasing Russian energy resources and selling their engineering products”.

“Moreover, in order to end the conflict as soon as possible, the CEE countries (except Poland and the Baltic States) actually allow territorial concessions from Ukraine,” the document stressed.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of a “peace formula” for Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
