The US State Department has adopted exceptions to the ban on aid to other countries

The United States State Department has adopted a number of exceptions to the list of programmes to suspend foreign aid. This was announced by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as quoted by TASS.

“We will have foreign aid that benefits our trusted partners and our allies,” Marco Rubio said.

Rubio stressed that the exemptions affected those programmes that are “fully justified” and that “strengthen America’s security”. According to him, we are talking about “comprehensive exceptions”, some of which have been in effect for about a week.

We will remind, earlier US President Donald Trump by decree suspended all programmes of assistance to foreign countries for 90 days.
