The administration of the new US President Donald Trump has split over disputes over how the conflict in Ukraine can be resolved.
This was reported by the NBC TV channel with reference to officials.
The authors of the material emphasise that some officials propose to use American influence to force Russian President Vladimir Putin to compromise.
‘Others are in favour of cutting billions of dollars in aid that the US provided to Ukraine under the Biden administration in order to achieve an early end to the conflict,’ the publication says.
The TV channel also notes that Trump has recently changed his rhetoric towards Putin as he failed to fulfil his promise to ‘resolve the Ukraine conflict in 24 hours’ after taking office as president.
