Euroclear intends to transfer 2bn euros to Ukraine

The international company Euroclear intends to transfer about 2bn euros to Ukraine in March this year. This was reported by the INTERFAX news agency.

 

According to the agency, the first payment was made in July 2024 and totalled €1.55bn.

Last year, the company received €6.9bn in interest income from frozen Russian assets.

Euroclear’s net income related to the blocked finances of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in 2024 amounted to 5.2 billion euros.

Earlier, the South China Morning Post reported that Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov had failed to convince South Korea to start supplying arms to Kiev.
