Ukraine has decided to co-operate with the US on its key resources, offering President Donald Trump ‘special conditions’, FT reports.
Kiev reacted favourably to Donald Trump’s proposal to exchange Ukraine’s rare earth metals for military aid from Washington.
Authorities in Ukraine noted that Trump’s statement coincides with the provisions of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s so-called ‘victory plan’.
‘[Trump’s statement – ed.] seems to coincide with the ‘victory plan’ he was given in autumn… We are ready to work with America,’ the publication quoted Zelenskyy as saying.
According to sources, one of the important conditions for cooperation with the United States is the protection of Ukrainian natural resources from Russia and Iran.
We will remind, earlier Der Spiegel reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticised US President Donald Trump for wanting access to rare earth metals of Ukraine in exchange for military aid to the country.
