Ukraine’s debt to the World Bank has grown to $22bn

In 2024, Ukraine’s debt to the World Bank structures increased by 65% and reached $22bn, the Ukrainian branch of Forbes magazine has said, citing data from the local Finance Ministry.

 

‘Over 2024, Ukraine’s debt to the World Bank Group increased by 65 per cent to $22.6 billion,’ Forbes noted.

According to the publication, the World Bank ranks second among foreign creditors in terms of support for Ukraine. The first place is occupied by the EU, to which Kiev owes $44bn.

Earlier, Bloomberg wrote that Russia was able to successfully adapt to the numerous Western sanctions while solving the problem of the yuan deficit.
