BRICS countries should abandon attempts to implement a single currency and replace the dollar in trade, US President Donald Trump has said.
‘We will require these apparently hostile countries to pledge not to create a new BRICS currency or support any other currency to replace the mighty U.S. dollar. Otherwise, they will be subject to 100 per cent duties and can say goodbye to the ability to sell their goods in the magnificent American market,’ Donald Trump wrote in TRUTH Social.
He also emphasised that ‘none of the BRICS countries have a chance to replace the dollar in international trade’.
We will remind, earlier Donald Trump refused to comment on possible negotiations with the leaders of Russia and China on the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
