If Pokrovsk is captured, the Russian Armed Forces could use it as a bridgehead – Reuters

The territory of Pokrovsk, if captured, could be used as a bridgehead for the further advance of Russian troops. This was reported by Reuters.

According to analysts, Russian troops have two main options for an offensive in the Pokrovsk direction: western and northern.

The material notes that if we follow the western direction, then a successful route would be the movement towards Dnepropetrovsk region. There is flat terrain and few natural or urban obstacles that the Ukrainian military could use for defence.

According to analysts, if you follow the direction to the north, where the industrial cities are more densely built, it will be more difficult to make a breakthrough, but it will make it possible to put pressure on Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.

Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry published footage showing the destruction of an AFU armoured combat vehicle by a team of FPV drones belonging to the Rubicon Centre in the Pokrovsk direction in the special operations zone.
