Trump has said he will set up a migration centre in the city of Guantanamo

US President Donald Trump said he would sign an executive order to create a 30,000-bed facility at Guantanamo to hold detained illegal migrants, RIA Novosti reports.

‘Today I am also signing an executive order to direct the Departments of Defence and Homeland Security to begin preparing a 30,000-bed facility at Guantanamo. Most people don’t even know about this. We have 30,000 beds in one complex to hold the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens,’ Donald Trump said.

According to the publication, the US plans to additionally fund detention and deportation centres.

Recall, earlier White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said that after Donald Trump’s threats to impose 25% duties on goods from Colombia, the Colombian leadership agreed to accept deported migrants from the United States.
