Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has arrived in Syria on his first official visit since the change of power in the country.

‘Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani became the first Arab leader to arrive in Damascus after the fall of the Assad regime,’ RIA Novosti quoted the report as saying.
Earlier, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said Doha supports Syria’s new leadership.
On 28 January, a high-ranking Russian delegation led by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov arrived in Damascus.
