On the Minister of defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov was instituted a criminal case under part 2 of article 364 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or official position), reported the public organization ‘Centre for counteraction to corruption’ (CPC) in Telegram-channel.
According to the CPC, Rustem Umerov illegally fired members of the supervisory Board and refused to extend the contract to the Director of the Defence Procurement Agency Marina Bezrukova.
‘NABU [National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine – ed.] registered proceedings on the application of the CPC on the commission of an offence by Rustem Umerov’, – stated in the publication.
We will remind, earlier the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in his Telegram-channel said that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine removed the Deputy Minister of defence Oleg Klymenkov from his post.
