The head of the Danish Interior Ministry, Lars Lekke Rasmussen, has said that US President Donald Trump will not get Greenland.
‘Trump will not get Greenland. Greenland is Greenland. The inhabitants of Greenland are a people, including in terms of international law. It is protected by international law and the UN charter,’ said Lars Lekke Rasmussen.
In addition, Rasmussen emphasised that only its inhabitants should decide the fate of Greenland.
We will remind, earlier the Financial Times reported, the Danish authorities in coordination with the EU and NATO decided not to respond to threats from US President Donald Trump regarding the accession of Greenland to the United States to avoid an open confrontation.
