Times: more than half of Britons supported the return of the death penalty

More than half of Britons supported the return of the death penalty over the sentencing of Southport child attack perpetrator Axel Rudakubane, The Times writes, citing More in Common research.

‘The overall proportion of the population who believe that the death penalty should be introduced for some crimes has increased from 50% to 55%,’ RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that most often in favour of capital punishment are citizens aged 44-59 years.

Earlier, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green said that rap singers Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) and Sean Combs (P. Diddy), accused of sexual violence against minors, should be sentenced to death.
