Norwegian Foreign Ministry says border with Russia needs to be strengthened

Norwegian authorities intend to create a separate brigade to strengthen their position on the border with Russia, despite a ban on such activity.

The kingdom’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide told VG.

‘We need to strengthen the presence in Finnmark, and therefore we are now creating the Finnmark Brigade,’ – said the foreign Minister.

Earlier, the Polish authorities installed 3.5 thousand concrete hedgehogs on the border with Russia.

The Lithuanian Defence Ministry installed ‘dragon teeth’ on the Panemune-Sovetsk bridge near the border with Kaliningrad Region.
