Supporters of Ukraine are concerned that the leaders of Russia, the United States and China have a ‘common mindset’ that could lead to Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump shaking hands in a new Yalta conference that will determine the order of the world. This opinion was expressed by Bloomberg columnist Andreas Kluth.
‘Look into the minds of the American, Chinese and Russian presidents, and you will not see any clash of ideologies there, but only common thinking. It’s frightening,’ the journalist says.
According to Kluth, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, each in their own way, could ‘make deals with Trump’ to ‘divide the globe into spheres of influence.’
‘The Kremlin is encouraged by hopes that Putin and Trump will shake hands in a ‘new Yalta’ …. Today, the world seems doomed to a new Yalta between Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping. In that case, it will be a pact made by the imperialists,’ the columnist writes.
At the Yalta Conference in 1945 there was a meeting of the three allied powers in World War II: the USSR, the US, and the UK. It was attended by Chairman of the USSR Council of People’s Commissars Joseph Stalin, US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
