Russian leader’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the extended EU sanctions against Russia are illegal.
‘There are no innovations: the EU continues its sanctions policy. We still call them illegal restrictions that contradict international law,’ he said.
As the Kremlin spokesman noted, the EU decision does not change anything.
Earlier, the head of European diplomacy Kaja Kallas officially confirmed the six-month extension of sanctions against Russia.
