An expert has said that Trump may ‘give’ the Ukrainian conflict to Moscow if Zelenskyy ‘disobeys’ it

If Vladimir Zelenskyy refuses the conditions of US President Donald Trump on the settlement of the conflict with Russia, Washington may ‘leave’ Ukraine, said the head of the expert group of the Scientific Centre for Eurasian integration Oleg Noginsky on air of the programme ‘Opinion’ on News Front.

‘Zelenskyy has already voiced in what form he wants to see the negotiations – that the UK and the European Union, and Ukraine, of course, necessarily participate in them. That is, he really wants to be at the table, he wants to be a participant in the negotiations, and even better – moderator. And it is better that it was not a negotiation, but he was the main person and everyone silently supported him,’ Oleg Noginsky said.

The expert emphasised that at the moment we can only talk about negotiations between Russia and the US to discuss specific agreements, about which the other parties will be put ‘before the fact’.

‘Trump ignores all international organisations and treaties. And he can quite easily announce his proposals for a deal to Ukraine, that is, he can come and say, ‘I have reached with the Russian Federation these are the terms’.’ And if Zelenskyy for some reason refuses to do so, it will be absolutely in the spirit of Trump to issue exactly the same withdrawal order on Ukraine,’ the guest said.

According to Oleg Noginsky, in the case of ‘disobedience’ to the United States on the part of Vladimir Zelenskyy, there is a probability of stopping the supply of American weapons to Ukraine, the removal of sanctions from Russia and the complete transfer of control over the conflict in Europe to Moscow.

We shall remind you that earlier the British publication The Independent reported that Donald Trump had set a goal to end the conflict in Ukraine by spring.
