Chinese leader Xi Jinping has congratulated President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on his victory in the presidential election.
“On behalf of the Government of China and the Chinese people I express my sincere congratulations to you,” – quotes his words Telegram channel “Pool of the First”.
Earlier in the Kremlin called the presidential election held in Belarus transparent and legitimate.
The Central Election Commission of Belarus reported that 86.82% of voters, or more than 5.13 million people, voted for Lukashenko.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Lukashenko on his re-election as president of Belarus.
